Bourbon's Craft Kitchen & Bar - Middletown: A Culinary Gem in Ohio

Bourbons has great food for reasonable prices. Their food is high quality, fill you up delicious, and their staff are friendly and attentive. The only reason atmosphere got 4/5 is because the music is so loud. It's too loud for comfortable conversation. It doesn't stop us from going there, but if it could be quieter, we would enjoy it even more.

A little pricey but well worth it. Quality food and excellent service. I highly recommend at least trying bourbon. The inside is larger than it seems when viewed from the outside. It's one of the few very good places to eat in Middletown that isn't some sort of chain. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

My party of 2 was immediately seated at 7pm on a Saturday night, and we really enjoyed our entrees off of the seasonal menu. The Bourbon's French Dip was the kind of hearty, warm meal that January in Ohio demands. My Spicy Southwestern Style Chicken was elevated to next level by those house made pickles, and the fries were the perfect blend of crunchy exterior and warm soft interior! Absolutely will visit again!

We were in town from Massachusetts for a paintball tournament and stumbled upon this gem as we were getting to our hotel — and wow, what a find! From the moment we walked in, Arlene absolutely made our night. She was so sweet, welcoming, and personable. I didn’t know what I wanted to drink, and she somehow nailed it with the perfect cocktail! We ordered the “In and Out Burger” and… dare I say it? Better than the real thing. Truly to die for. We were so impressed we told Arlene we might come back — and we actually brought the whole team back on our last night just so they could try it too. Arlene was there again, remembered us, and was just as wonderful the second time. Everyone loved the food, the vibe, and of course, Arlene’s hospitality. If you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. Ask for Arlene — she’ll take great care of you!

This is my favorite place to eat in Middletown. The food and service both are consistently top notch. They always have a good selection of beers and bourbon. Try the chicken tenders dipped in bbq sauce and rolled in Grippos chips or the short rib sandwich with chimichurri aoli.

Our food was amazing. I’m from out of town and after a days drive it was the perfect place to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We had a couple drinks that were all tasty and unique. Our apps and entrees were perfectly executed. As a vegetarian I enjoyed having a couple options. We were sat in the section near the bar and entrance. I think our waitress got moved to a section that was in another part of the building because halfway through our time, shortly after our apps arrived we saw her considerably less than before and often felt forgot about. I would every now and then see her come into our section to grab food from the kitchen then disappear into what I think must’ve been another dining area. I had to ask another server for drink refills for my parents and boxes for us and then track her down for the check. Overall not a big issue just slightly annoying. The food was worth it.

This is a hidden gem and I'm so glad we found it! Don't let the location influence you! Their service was great - fast and friendly. The food was perfect- poutine fries, chips & questions, chicken & waffle, chicken strips with the best mac & cheese.

Staff was very nice and service was quick. Made a reservation ahead of time so was seated immediately. My brother got the in--and-our burger and said it was good. I got the chicken and waffles, it was tasty- not the best I've ever had but not bad. Would say it's worth a try.
